TABLE OF CONTENTS
In this article, we cover how you can connect your DAKOS device to your network using an Ethernet connection instead of WiFi. These steps are required if you are using a DAKOS version older than 2.28 and have WiFi configured, otherwise, you can just connect your Ethernet cable and power on the device. You can also use the steps to remove your currently configured WiFi if you need to all versions 2.30 and above. If you don't know your release, you can use the article Finding Your DAKOS Version to determine this.
Removing your WiFi Credentials:
If your DAKOS version is 2.28 or older and is currently set up for WiFi, or if you want to remove your WiFi, please complete the following:
- Navigate to the 'Displays & Devices' and select the settings menu for the device:
- Select 'Join Other Network' from the network list:
- Remove the password configured in the field:
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
On versions 3.0 and newer, you can also use the Factory Reset button to clear all settings.
Connecting to Ethernet:
On versions 2.28 and older, you must remove the WiFi credentials first, then plug an Ethernet cable in. On version 2.30 and above, you can simply plug the Ethernet cable in, even if WiFi is configured. DAKOS devices will automatically detect this connection and attempt to complete linking to your account.
