To move a DAKboard display or CPU to a new or different DAKboard account, first, remove the display from the existing account. Under Displays & Devices, find the desired display, click the more actions ellipsis, and select Remove Device:

Next, log out of the current account, and log in to the new account. If you are on the same network as before, you will not need to update your WiFi credentials. If you are putting this on a different network, you will need to connect to that first. Use our article Updating Your WiFi Credentials on Your DAKboard OS Device to change your WiFi network if necessary

From a device on the same network as your display, Navigate to Displays & Devices, and click the  Add button. In the new pop-up window, add a Name to identify your Display, then enter the Link Code from your Display, or the Serial Number if your CPU or Display is on version 2.32 and older of the OS. See the example below:

In the Assigned Screen section, click the dropdown to select the Screen you wish to Display, otherwise, it will display your Default Screen. Click Save and your changes will be applied to your device. Some older devices may also need a reboot to complete the changes. Simply unplug the power to them and plug them back in.

Further Troubleshooting

If the DAKboard device doesn't automatically begin showing the screen from the new account after restarting, you may need to manually complete the registration process. We have step-by-step instructions for this here:

DAKboard is showing the register screen or DAKboard.com homepage
