Sometimes you may need to update or change your WiFi Credentials. This article is here to show you how to make this change on your DAKOS device. To connect your DAKboard Wall Display or CPU to a new WiFi network, follow the steps below.

DAKOS Devices with WiFi Hotspot:

This method only works if your DAKboard presents the Hotspot on reboot. If you are unable to find or log into the DAKboard Hotspot, you can use our article How to Access Your DAKOS Settings Page under the Manual Access section to connect to the Display.

Power on the DAKboard device.
Use a computer, phone, or tablet and connect to the network called DAKboard. The password will be dakb5142.
Open a web browser on the connected device and navigate to http://10.0.0.5
Enter the new WiFi network and credentials that the device should connect to.
Click "Save changes" at the bottom, wait for the confirmation. The device will then try and connect to your network

DAKboard Device is Still Connected to the Old WiFi Network:

If you still have access to your Display on the old WiFi network, you can access the device settings using a laptop, phone, or PC that is connected to the same (old) WiFi network. In your DAKboard account, go to Displays & Devices, click the three dots to the right of the Display, click Settings, and then View Device Settings. See Below:

This will open the DAKOS Settings Page. From here, you can change your credentials.

NOTE: The View Device Settings button will work if your DAKOS device has been successfully registered to your account, you are using a device that is on the same WiFi or Ethernet network as the DAKOS device, and your device is not offline. If your Display failed to register when you set it up, see our article How to Register Your DAKOS Device to learn how to correct this. If you are connecting to it from a different network, you will need to connect to the same network. If your Display is currently offline, you will have to use one of the options mentioned above in this article to access the page.

DAKOS with Touchscreen or Connected USB Mouse:

This method only works when you have a Touchscreen or USB Mouse connected to a USB port before boot. If you connect the Touchscreen or Mouse after it is booted, try rebooting the Display to get the Touchscreen/On-Device Setup button to be revealed.

Power on the DAKboard device.
From the No Internet or Welcome page, tap or click on the Touchscreen/On-Device Setup button as seen below:

From the page that opens, tap or click on the Name/SSID button and select your new network.
Tap or click on the space to enter your Password, and an Onscreen keyboard will appear.
Enter your password.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap or click on the "Save Changes" button to apply the changes.
Your device will then attempt to connect to your new WiFi network.

Why can't I access my DAKboard using the View Device Settings button?

If your DAKboard is currently offline, you will not be able to use this button or the IP address of your DAKboard device within your network. This is caused by the DAKboard Hotspot enabling and disconnecting you from your home's WiFi.You will need to use the Manual Connection or Hotspot connection methods in the article above.
