With a recent update to our security, we now require new accounts to verify emails. This will make sure that the email you have used is active and can be later used to reset your password if needed. Below are some troubleshooting steps if you run into an issue with verifying your email.

Username and Password Accounts:

When you create an account using a Username and Password, the email verification will require you to verify the Email Address and Password, and not the Username and Password. If you are receiving a message that one or more of the entries are invalid while verifying your email, this would indicate that either you are trying to use your Username, if it is different than your Email, instead of your Email in the verification process, or that you have mistyped your Password. Please make sure you are using the Email you are trying to verify and the Password you used when you created your account.

If you think your Password is the issue and it has been less than an hour since you set up the account, when you reset your password, you will need to use the current verification email to complete the process with your new password. If it has been more than an hour since you first attempted this, you will need to try to log in or reset your password to get a new verification email sent to you. To do this, go to DAKboard.com/site, click the Login button, and use your Email and password combination to try to log in, or use the Forgot your Password? button to reset the password for your account. This will trigger a new Verification email. Make sure you use the link in the new Email to verify your account.

Google-Authenticated Accounts:

When creating a Google-Authenticated account, your email will automatically be verified once your account is created. This is because Google performs the verification process for you. Once created, you will use the Continue With Google or the Continue as <Your Google Account Name> button to log in. As your authentication comes from your Google Account, and not from DAKboard, you will not be able to use the Password Reset tool unless you add a password to your account later.
