To increase security with our Site, we have added an Automatic CAPTCHA system to our sites and services. This service runs off of Google's CAPTCHA service and should run with limited issues. However, certain settings in your Browser, as well as network connectivity, can cause this service to fail. Below is a list of the Possible Causes for these errors and some suggested troubleshooting steps to resolve them.

Network Issues:

  • Poor Connectivity: A slow or unstable internet connection can cause reCAPTCHA to time out or fail.
  • Firewalls or Proxies: Security settings on your network or VPN/proxy interference might block reCAPTCHA requests.
  • Shared Network Abuse: If your network is being used for malicious activities, it could lead to reCAPTCHA flagging your traffic.
  • Suspicious IP Address: Your IP address might be temporarily flagged as suspicious by Google, especially if it’s been assigned by your ISP recently.

Website/Browser Issues:

  • Outdated Browser: Ensure your browser is up-to-date, as older versions might have compatibility issues with reCAPTCHA.
  • JavaScript Disabled: Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser, as it’s essential for reCAPTCHA functionality.
  • Browser Extensions/Ad Blockers: Certain browser extensions or ad blockers might interfere with reCAPTCHA.
  • Corrupted Browser Profile: A corrupted browser profile could cause issues with reCAPTCHA.

reCAPTCHA Server Issues:

  • Temporary Downtime: Occasionally, Google’s reCAPTCHA servers might experience temporary downtime or issues, leading to failures.
  • Heavy Traffic: The site you’re trying to access might be under heavy attack, causing reCAPTCHA to be overwhelmed.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Networking issues can cause this to fail. You can try the following to resolve these issues:

  • Restart your modem and router: This can resolve temporary network issues.
  • Try a different network: If possible, connect to a different Wi-Fi network or use a mobile hotspot to see if the problem persists.

Browser issues can also cause failures. Try the following to resolve them:

  • Ensure your browser is up-to-date: Check for updates and install them.
  • Temporarily disable browser extensions and ad blockers: See if reCAPTCHA works without them.
  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies: This can resolve temporary glitches.
  • Use a different browser: See if the problem is browser-specific.
  • Try again later: Sometimes, temporary issues resolve themselves.

If the problem persists, contact the website’s support team or Google’s reCAPTCHA support. They may be able to provide further assistance.
