Transforming your digital display into a dynamic photo showcase is simpler than ever with DAKboard's Flickr integration. By connecting these powerful platforms, you can showcase your favorite memories and create stunning visual displays in just a few clicks. Here is how you can bring your photos to life on your DAKboard display.

Adding Flickr Account:

Start by logging into your account and selecting the Screen you want to add Flickr to. You can add this source to your Predefined or Custom Screens. See our article How To Add Photos To Your DAKboard Screen to see how to do this. Once the block is added you will need to Authorize your Flickr Account. On the Predefined Screen click the Authorize Your Flickr Account button seen below:

With the Custom Screen, you will click the Connect To Flickr button:

This will trigger a new tab opening to the Flickr authorization page. Log into your Flickr account.

Depending on how you have your account set up you may have to use Multiple-Factor Authentication (MFA). If you do you may see a message like the one below

If this happens, simply close your tab, and try again. You should receive a message like this:

Just press OK, I'll Authozie It, to allow access, and then close the authorization tab Seen below:

You're ready to start configuring your photo display.

Show Photos From:

Now that your account(s) are connected, it's time to select the account and where you wish to view photos from. On your Predefined Screen, you are limited to the first Flickr account you link to your DAKboard account. If you want to use a different linked account you will need to revoke the permissions to this first account. See our article Remove or Reauthorizing External Apps to learn how to do this. However, you can select from several sources to view photos from. On the Predefined Screen, it looks like this:

Once you have selected your source, make sure to click the Save Changes button before leaving this tab.

With the Custom Screen, you can link multiple accounts to choose from. Once you have selected the Flickr account, you'll then see another dropdown menu where you can choose specific Photos From sources. In the Custom Screen Photo Block Editor it will look like this:

With the Custom Screen, you can choose to see the images from your Photostream, from your Albums (Sets), view Another User photos, a Groups Photos, the DAKboard Community collection, Explore Interesting Photos, or perform a Custom Search in your Flickr Account to find the Photos you want to see. Once you've made your selection, don't forget to click Save to apply your changes.
