For those who have wanted a way to switch to other Custom Screens, Loops, or Schedules on demand, or easily share a URL to another source, the Button / Link Block is for you. Setup is easy and this block type adds more interaction to your DAKboard display with Touchscreens or with a connected USB Moue. This article will show you how to use this Block.
Add a Button / Link Block:
To add a button or link to your display, click the Add a Block button, and select Button / Link. See Below:
Configure the button Type to switch your DAKboard Custom Screen, Loop, Schedule, or URL your choosing:
Choose from your list of Custom Screens, Loops, or Schedules, or enter the URL you want your button to go to in the space provided. Then add the Name of your Block in the Text space and/or add an Icon:
Save the changes and your button is ready for use with your Touchscreen or connected USB Mouse.
Formatting Tab:
With the Formatting Tab, you can now modify the look of your Button Block further. These options are detailed below:
- Style: The Style option allows you to make the appearance on your screen that of a Button or just a Link
- Button Color: This option allows you to add a color to your Button, you can even use it to make the button translucent.
- Text: This allows you to select a Font, Size, and Color of the text of your button.
- Background: This option allows you to fill the background of your block with a color and/or add blurring effects to it.
- Block Title: This allows you to put a title to your block. This can be used to target your block for use with Custom CSS or just to identify the block.
- Advanced: The Advanced dropdown includes new block placement, block shaping, and the Link Block options.
