TABLE OF CONTENTS
Icons have been a feature in Calendar and Fetch blocks but now we also have the Icon Block. Available with Paid Subscriptions for use on your Custom Screen, icons can be added anywhere using this block. They can be formatted exactly as desired, scheduled to show up or hide at certain times, and they can be animated using Custom CSS. This article will show you how to add these to your Display.
Add an Icon Block:
To add an icon block to your screen, go to the Custom Screen editor, click the Add a Block button, click the Tools section, and then select the Icon Block. See below:
Your block will be placed on the Custom Screen and the Block Editor will open. From the Settings tab, you can use the Filters on the left side to filter through different Icon styles, click one of the Icons in the preloaded section, or type a word in the Search Bar to find the Icon you want. See below:
Once you find the Icon you want, position your block where you want it to be, and then click Save. Enjoy adding a little extra to your screen.
Formatting Tab:
With the Formatting Tab, you can now modify the look of your Button Block further. These options are detailed below:
- Text: This allows you to select the Size and Color of the Icon.
- Background: This option allows you to fill the background of your block with a color and/or add blurring effects to it.
- Block Title: This allows you to put a title to your block. This can be used to target your block for use with Custom CSS or just to identify the block.
- Advanced: The Advanced dropdown includes new block placement, block shaping, and the Link Block options.
