Frequently Asked Questions:
Below are the most common questions asked about our Comparison Chart:
What does the Calendar Limit mean?
Depending on your plan, you are limited to the number of calendars you can add to your Screen. This is the total number of Calendars, not Calendar Accounts, you can link to a block at one time. For example, you can have your Google Account linked to your Predefined Screen on a Free Plan. You may have multiple Calendars within your Google Account, but you will be limited to adding only two of those calendars to the Screen at one time. With the Essential Plan, you can add up to five of those calendars to a single Calendar block on a Custom Screen or to your Predefined Screen's calendar tab. With the Plus Plan, you can add an unlimited number of Calendars to each Calendar block on your Custom Screen or to your Predefined Screen's Calendar Tab. See our article How to Add a Calendar Block to your DAKboard Screen for more details.
What does it mean by Devices Per Screen?
This limit is to let you know how many Displays can be connected to your Screen at one time. With the Free Subscription, you can have 2 Displays connected to your Predefined Screen; with the Essential Subscription, this becomes 5 per Screen, and with the Plus Subscription, this increases to 10 displays per Screen.
How can I have 6 Screens in the Loop when the Plus plan only comes with 3?
This is because you can purchase Additional Screens. You can buy as many screens as you like, then use the additional screens to fill out the loop.
How do you get additional screens?
With the Essential and Plus subscriptions, you can purchase additional Custom Screens. The cost is per screen, and can be seen on our Pricing Page below the Screen Limit.
Can I have Displays in different locations, or will this require another account?
DAKboard Displays can be located anywhere in the world and linked to your one account. So you can have a Display in your Family home, your Vacation home, and even in another family member's or friend's home if you like. There is no need to have a second account when setting up your displays in different homes. Just remember to change settings on Displays at different locations, you must be at that location and on the same network, or have physical access to the Display before you can access the settings page. See our article How to Access Your DAKOS Settings Page for more details.
Do you have a Pay-Once Subscription option?
DAKboard does not have a Lifetime or Single Payment Subscription option. We offer a Free Plan that does not require payments.
