As of 2/1/2023: Life360 no longer supports this method to add access and it can no longer be used. Unfortunately, there is no option for us to utilize and this service can no longer be supported.
Feb 2022 UPDATE: The line containing the following:
Is now be used to find the authorization token. There should be 2 of these lines, the first one you come across is the one you need.
This takes some advanced knowledge to complete as the Life360 app does not maintain connections or supply an API to make this easy to link to DAKboard. In this article, we'll walk you through finding your Life360 Authorization token for use in DAKboard. We recommend using the Chrome or Firefox browser for these next steps.
First, log in to your Life360 account https://www.life360.com/circles
Once on the page, open the Developer Console for your browser by pressing the F12 key on a PC or Option-Cmd-i if you are using a Mac. Once this is open click on the Network tab. This may be hidden under the >> symbol as seen below:
Once the networking tab is open, refresh the web page by clicking the Refresh button on your browser, or by pressing F5 if on a PC.
Once the page has loaded, you will need to search for an entry in the list that contains the following:
This entry will contain the authorization token and will look something similar to what is seen below:
NOTE: This entry may be difficult to find as it will be in a long list of items on the network page. You can try using CTRL + F on a PC or Command + F on a Mac to highlight the search
Click on that entry to open it. Make sure the "Headers" tab is selected. Scroll down to the "Request Headers" section, and find the entry for "Authorization" as seen below:
Here you'll see a token made up of random letters and numbers. Highlight and copy your token. Make sure to copy just the token part, and not the word "Bearer".
Lastly, paste this token back into DAKboard, optionally give it a name, and save your changes:
You can then return to your custom screen, edit the Life360 block and select the desired account, circles, and members to show on DAKboard.
